Does Freedom Matter for Sustainable Economic Development? New Evidence from Spatial Econometric Analysis

Achieving sustainable economic development is always considered one of the main goals countries. Therefore, researchers are interested in presenting new econometric models for more accurate identification factors affecting growth. The current study evaluates impact various aspects freedom (economic freedom, press civil and political rights) an aggregated index on growth European countries from 2000 to 2019 using spatial panel techniques. In addition, effects variables such as FDI, financial (FD), human capital (HC), stock examined. findings this research confirm existence autocorrelation results reveal that liberties, boost growth, whereas rights have no significant effect Furthermore, model indicate FD, HC, positively significantly associated with This expected provide policymakers a thorough understanding how implement best policies achieve development.
